SEUR

Seur Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 18, 2026

Seur is operated by Seur. Contact seursupport@gmail.com about this policy or your data.

Information you provide

We store the account name, username, email and identity needed to sign you in; profile photos; saved traveler names, contact details and nationality; travel preferences, including optional dietary choices; destinations, dates, itineraries, booking records, budgets, ratings, notes, journals, selected photos, guides, saved places, messages, sharing choices and AI conversations that you create or save. Passwords are managed by our authentication provider. Seur does not receive your Apple or Google account password.

Your travel profile can use activity within Seur, such as places you save and trips you plan, to personalize recommendations. You can review and reset this profile in Settings → Travel profile. Some information you choose to enter, such as dietary preferences or free-form notes, may be sensitive. Only enter information you are comfortable saving.

Photos, calendars and locations

Photo-library access is optional. When enabled, Seur analyzes available photo dates, locations and visual similarity on your device to suggest trip photos. Limited photo access is supported. Only photos you select or approve through your chosen automatic-import settings are copied to your private account. Automatic import can run in the background when enabled. Seur does not change or delete your original Photos library. Copied photos may include capture dates and coordinates as separate trip metadata; exported image pixels have embedded EXIF metadata stripped during normalization.

Calendar access is optional. When you enable it, Seur can import events matching your trips from calendars you choose and write plans you choose to your calendar. Imported event details become part of your account's trip data. Seur does not continuously upload your entire calendar.

Places you select, trip routes and photo coordinates can reveal precise or approximate location. Maps and search services receive the queries and locations necessary to respond. Device permissions can be changed in iOS Settings. Notification tokens are used to deliver optional travel and flight alerts.

AI assistance

AI features are optional. Before an AI request is sent, Seur asks permission to share your request and relevant conversation, travel preferences, saved places and trip context with OpenAI. Photos and payment details are not included automatically. Requests use OpenAI's API with response storage disabled; this does not mean no operational or abuse-monitoring retention exists at the provider. AI may use web search and place-search tools. Avoid entering passwords, payment-card details or other unnecessary sensitive information. AI responses may be wrong; verify important travel information. Disable new AI requests in Settings → Privacy & support. Saved conversations remain until you delete them or your account.

Purchases and Seur Plus

If you buy Seur Plus, Apple processes the payment; Seur never receives your payment card or billing details. To provide Plus, the app and Apple send us signed records of your Seur Plus purchases: the product, purchase and expiry dates, renewal and trial status, whether it's shared through Family Sharing, transaction identifiers and the App Store environment. Apple also tells us when a subscription renews, changes, ends or is refunded. We link these records to your Seur account and use them only to provide Plus and support your purchases. Deleting your account removes that link; we keep only each purchase's status from Apple, with no account attached, so a purchase can't be reused after a refund. Apple keeps its own purchase records under its privacy policy.

To apply each plan's limits, we count your account's AI requests and place lookups and measure its photo storage. These counts are used only for limits; daily and monthly counts expire with their period, and the rest are removed when you delete your account.

Why we use information

We use information to operate your account; save and sync trips across devices; restore offline changes; suggest relevant places; provide requested AI assistance, maps, search and booking-provider handoffs; deliver optional notifications; enable sharing you choose; handle support and abuse reports; and secure and maintain the service. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party targeted advertising. We do not use advertising identifiers or cross-app advertising tracking.

Service providers and sharing

Supabase provides authentication, private database and media storage. Vercel hosts our public website and sharing pages. Apple provides platform features such as Maps, notifications, Sign in with Apple and App Store purchases. Google provides sign-in and place search. OpenAI provides AI assistance with your permission. Travel features may use services such as LiteAPI/Nuitée, Duffel, FlightAware, Tripadvisor, GetYourGuide, and destination-photo providers including Google and Pexels. A provider receives the information needed for the feature you request; these providers have their own terms and privacy practices. External booking websites handle their own reservations, payments and traveler information.

Trips and journals are private by default. Content you publish, share with friends or collaborators, or include in a read-only link is available to the audience you choose. Anyone with an active share link may view its selected content. Revoking a link or deleting content cannot recall copies someone has already exported, saved or photographed. Do not share other people's information or photos without permission.

Storage, retention and security

Your account data is stored on our service providers' infrastructure and in account-scoped files on your device for offline use. Sync requires a connection; photo uploads may wait for Wi-Fi. Infrastructure can be located outside your country. Access is restricted by account and sharing permissions. Private sync is not end-to-end encrypted; authorized service administrators can access data to operate the service.

We retain active account content while you use the service. Removing a trip or photo from your library does not necessarily remove its uploaded image files immediately. In app versions without individual cloud-photo cleanup, these files can remain until account deletion or a verified deletion request to support. Photos still used in another trip, publication or collaboration are retained while those references remain. Recovery versions support conflict resolution and restoration. Security, infrastructure logs and backups follow the providers' configured retention and cannot necessarily be erased instantly. We retain information where required to comply with law or resolve legitimate disputes. Do not interpret deletion as recalling independent copies held by recipients or external providers.

Your choices and deletion

You can edit or delete trips, photos and memories; change sharing access; export trip data; change personalization and automatic photo preferences; revoke photo/calendar/notification permissions; and disable AI assistance. For account deletion, open Seur → You → Settings → Your account → Delete account. Once the service confirms deletion, account-owned cloud records and media are removed, sessions are revoked and the requesting device's account cache is erased. An interrupted cleanup is retried. An offline device may retain an earlier cache until it reconnects or its app data is removed. Deleting Seur from a device alone does not delete your account.

Contact seursupport@gmail.com for access, correction, export or deletion assistance. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to object, restrict processing, withdraw consent or complain to a data-protection authority. We may need to verify your identity. Where consent is used, withdrawing it does not undo processing already performed. Service delivery, legitimate security/operational interests and applicable legal obligations are additional bases for processing where these concepts apply.

Children and updates

Seur is not directed to children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under the minimum age required to consent to the service in your country. A parent or guardian may contact us about a child's information. We may update this policy as the service changes and will update the effective date and provide notice when required.

Hotel and restaurant page activity

When you are signed in, we record hotel and restaurant page visits to understand which places are useful to travelers. These records include the page, visit time and your account reference. Our private dashboard shows aggregate view counts and unique viewer counts, without showing individual browsing histories. Repeated opens are grouped into 30-minute windows. A daily cleanup removes activity outside the 90-day reporting window; deleting your account removes its activity records. This measurement does not send activity to Google or use advertising trackers.

Hotel dining contributions and Google Maps

Dining suggestions, proposed changes and supporting links are stored privately for authorized reviewers. Approved restaurant details may be published in the hotel dining catalog. Deleting your account removes your private submissions; published catalog corrections and review history may remain without your account identity.

Opening an eligible restaurant page while signed in may send the restaurant name and hotel address to Google Places to retrieve missing details. These supplemental details are displayed separately and are not copied into your saved places or trip records. Google Maps features are subject to the Google Privacy Policy, incorporated here for those features.
